Bake a Cake? what!

I don't bake, I don't bake with love, that's for sure. I cook. Sometimes, I cook with love, but mostly not, now.
…so when I decide to bake a cake, it's big. Really big.
Last cake I baked was for Margaret, I did it so Robyn could eat it too, (that was her birthday a year ago).
It's boy kids' Birthday week. "It's dinner at 5 stags with the mates" he says. "You can come". Ok, we will, perfect.
But how to make it a bit special, get a cake. No. Bake a cake.
Pffft think my oven hates me. First cake-round, hard around edges, and a little rough - I can do better. 2nd Cake, worse. 😳
OK. Dr up cake 1. It's now square, and has the top cut off it. Ice... Dress. Cover and Hide the unfit for sight bits. (thank goodness for baby marshmallows) pop some candles on it and go.
Much like getting into that spring and summer wardrobe I thought as I nursed cake on the way to dinner.
Mates couldn’t help but peek under the foil. Yes a cake! Awesome Fay, a good looking cake, with candles, they said all excited. If only they knew. Cake was a hit, completely eaten. Great feedback. I can tell when they lie.
Just like getting clothing to suit, feel good in and look great... It's amazing how we are hard on ourselves yet others see the beauty as it is… Let’s not overthink the joy of new season clothing. Or why we need it.
This week there's a new label, Diane asked… is this one for us here? Yep, was a bit of a mind space when that was offered a year ago… It's a bit more fashion forward for Gabriels, also a bit of tongue in cheek as it was ordered 1 year ago during lockdown. Maybe it's a souvenir piece. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I hope you enjoy what we have in store for this coming season. See you Soon.
