Celebrating 8 Years

Eight 1 Novembers ago I unlocked the door to Gabriels Fashions❣️

Coming from hairdressing one of my favourite sayings was “Life is too short for sore feet", and the 2nd pearler I have is, "You can smell bull shit before you see it” …

Both these sayings have been used in abundance over the past 7 years by me in Gabriels also, along with "Don't think about it because we only have 1 in each size, unless it's my size and I want one too”.

On this whole wild ride has been our trusty Diane. I so appreciate her and all she does for us, and I'm sure many of you appreciate her special way when she helps you too.

Diane happened to be a client and we found ourselves comparing life stories while I tried to find her some Silver Sandals… who would have thought, it would lead to this many laughs, some frustrations (I'm sure with just me), and just good old fun in helping people look and feel their best…

Which is also a similar saying I brought with me from my Hair Resort days in New Plymouth. My BNI speech, “At the Hair Resort we aren’t the last resort, I'll make you look and feel a million dollars without that price tag!” 🤣🤣🤣 Cheesy now I see as I write it.

I also find myself feeling grateful for the husband, who on occasion drives me absolutely crazy, but that's reciprocated, his ability to juggle the task of handyman, i.t. man, bookkeeper and manager of rubbish removal. We appreciate you too husband.

To the team who do the website management, Adriana and Silvio from Informal Marketing - you rock.

To Patty our super Saturday Star… thank you, I know 1 day a week is a challenge some weeks.

And to the team who’ve been part of the team but have moved on, I remember you too… Sarah, Alex, Victoria, Jill, my Saturday Stars, some of you it was your first job and Margaret… your footprints are still warm.

Gabriels is a special shop that I know many of you love So Cheers to us all!

Oh and what else is new this week… our shoes for naughty feet are here… and sadly this season there's no extra stock of these… so don't think about it!
