As the Queen completes yet another circle of the sun - we get to celebrate her Birthday.

My mum was a royal lover, "she even wrote a letter to the Queen once", As little kids, we were told, and she got a letter back from her lady in waiting… occasionally I used to be allowed to look at that letter in her scrapbook. (Mum died 44yrs ago so she missed aaaalllll the good stuff really) Imagine what that would look like now... I wonder if it's still a real position "lady in waiting” - I'm thinking that's a PA nowadays. Then there was always the old Dad joke “when I turned 50 is was half expecting a letter from the Queen” I've done 53 years no letter. Nana just about made it to 98 so she didn't get a crack at a letter either.

The only Queen I've had anything to do with lately made a dam good Gin, no affiliation whatsoever with Royal one, but Royal Blue did look dam good on you! but anyways…SO
