Wand or Unicorn?

I had a saying when I was hairdressing when the nearly impossible was asked of me, lucky for me my clients had been mine for 30ish years so when I said… “It's a comb today not a wand” thankfully we both had a laugh and got down to sorting them out in a realistic fashion. Funny in retail for these past 7 years there's times when clients are looking for a very specific thing, and nothing else will do, no matter what we suggest. (We have a really good idea of what's been made, as we see everything from the Reps, sometimes it just isn’t produced, sometimes it just doesn’t stack up).

Last week, a lady was hunting for “a very specific thing” and after making all the suggestions possible and still meet with no. Mother speaks up “I think she’s looking for a unicorn” I doubled over in laughter as It was the perfect response to the situation where the “specific thing” just wasn’t available, there was no way anything else would do. They left mother apologising for the unsuccessful Unicorn hunt… a light moment in a week that's been rather challenging in more ways than Unicorn Shopping!
