Nearly Nailed it

These early mornings have presented me with a little more time.

I decided it was a great opportunity to go check out the back garden, after all, it took me 5 months to discover the back fence had blown over in Gabriels storm, so best I do the rounds again… to discover the veggie garden now has light again and should be put to use.

As normal the helpers were in on the game once I had the garden ready for the big plant out. Not so sure dirt under my nails is ideal on a Sunday morning when I start work at 10, however helper cat and I managed to nail the garden in good time and the fingernails have sort of lived to see another day.

Now the veggie plants are putting up a fight against the slugs and snails. I feel a new battle has begun.

I seek professional help with the husband in tow. How to ward off the SS I ask the girl in the shop, her response with pets about… pour a beer into a container and the slugs and snails will call in for a beer and drown… "She can't do that" said the husband, and in fact the other man also eavesdropping seconded it “that's such a waste” No beers for the beasts!

So I'm looking for the perfect solution to stamping out slugs and snails without wasting pets or beers. I'm open to suggestions, haven't nailed that yet.

One thing we have nailed tho, in Gabriels, is the perfect dress! It's been great being back in Gabriels more, and it's been so rewarding to help sorting that summer capsule. There is in fact a dress for every human should they want one.

Our famous lightweight summer cotton dresses have now started to arrive. I saw a post stating it's 7 Fridays till Christmas, I just did a count, now it's 6 Fridays
