Pinch and a Punch

It's fair to say Daughter and I had a smashing end to 2023...

On our way, on our bikes, for our 1st drink with friends, we crashed into each other creating a wonderful sight in the middle of main street Mangakino. She says I turned into her, I say she T boned me… so clearly it was my fault. Currently, we are both walking wounded.

However that isn’t holding us back, it's a New Year, a new day. All be it we are both a lot slower than normal full speed ahead… and both wish we were not completely sober at the time of impact, as it may have hurt less!!

No need for a pinch and punch here this 1st of the month to know it's a new day!

"Pick yourself up and dust yourself off", was a common saying during my childhood. Interesting I think now as it's still one of the first things I say when faced with a wee personal challenge, and this time, let's get off the road!

Thank goodness we were wearing our helmets was heard from her, knee pads would have been more appropriate tho! so ✅ humour still intact. Pride, out the gate.

Today I managed a walk lake side with dog. She loved it. I loved the natural pretty of the lake walk and was thankful - I could still walk.

So as your New Year unfolds... the team at Gabriels wishes you much, and enough for 2024. We are all delt 366 days this year. Let's make them Count!

I'd also like to take this moment to thank you all for your loyalty and support during the year that has gone.

Im personally ready for a calmer and less stressful one. Loosing loved ones, and closing a businesses is never an easy thing.

It's been a tough time for many near and dear. Change is both a good thing and a hard thing. I know, it's the choices around it that determines the feelings of it.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to welcome a couple of new faces to the Gabriels team.

You’ll find Candice, in store. Im super stoked she’s joined our team, only working in Gabriels, she’s been with us 3 weeks already, her background is hairdressing, so colour style and shape, she’s got ya back, she’s also mighty handy at the sewing machine.

Breanna, she’s our newest member, you could also find her at Point Break, she’s got a great sense of humour, and has done a few days with me here, and decided she likes our lovely Gabriels ladies. So moving into 2024 We all have your back, and it will be our pleasure to help you look and feel a million bucks without that cost. Cheers to the new year, xx
