What kind of Spirits?

It's that crazy time of the year where we are between seasons. Spring isn’t sprung yet, but yes ladies it is close, so close I have packing slips for it arriving…
But there's winter to move out the door, and it's buy time for the next winter. Yes, gambling on what we need a year out.
I saw 2 reps yesterday, 3 ranges.
“Don't show me heavy jackets or fleece, it's not cold round here anymore"!
"What about merino"? - well that's slow nowadays too… in fact, we have basics Merino on sale now for $80.00, fashion shaped Merino for $99.00 and I paid more at cost than that! It’ll be the end of stocking Merino basics for us.
I'm simply not sure what we need for winter next year… "flip" he said (I may have altered that word) "Yes that's a 4 letter word one could use - do you mean that as a noun or verb" I asked, He roared with laughter and said "well at least you are in good spirits”… Spirits- ha that would be Gin, of which I'm NOT drinking right now I laughed back.
I just use the word SALE I told him, and as for spirits, maybe next month.
Right now - the 4 letter word is SALE - across the shop 30-50% off SALE… although now it's more like 50% and the only spirit is the magic of the marker pen writing those 50% off SALE tags. Please come to town, our streets have been quiet. We look forward to seeing you soon!
