I'm choosing Red as Spring love begins. My Red Rhododendron has burst into bright colour and it's the perfect “wake up to view” from the Kitchen window… I'm so glad there's Red in the Spring/Summer Season clothing too! We've been unpacking and sorting lots of new stock this past week, Tops, Skirts, Pants and Dresses, not to mention Shoes😍. I've gone bold with some prints and love that I could get colours to match back, getting that perfect mix and match wardrobe. Just when the Citrus Trees are bursting we have a little citrusy zest in the shop too! Its time for some colour… and I couldn’t be more ready. What a mixed bag of weather we’re having! Saturday we biked the Hauraki trail in the sunshine and today it's bleak and wet… Thank goodness we have a real mixed bag in at the shop at present too! The lovely Layla striped long line Cardigans are perfect for this time of the year, a pop of colour or the merino long line Cardy that's light weight and warm or the new Vassalli washed blue Denim Jackets that have just arrived… Great for that fresh look to put over everything… Yes, everything! As the day began Grey yesterday it certainly didn’t end that way… Vassalli SPRING,🌻 Soya Concept and Z&P SUMMER 🌞🌸arrived in the shop!! 🤪 The Colours are amazing, 💕 and it was certainly fun to unpack the boxes and check out what we have! I've got a thing about jeans… I've never really wore them until I got the shop and learned about Vassalli jeans and Classified jeans…  I'm a pear shape and struggled to fit jeans well. I was super excited to find some distressed jeans (which now we fondly call the haymakers and many of you love these too), they are so amazing that they fit my bootie and my waist but don't make me feel like a sausage squeezed into a skin!  Put it this way if I found Jeans to fit me I'm sure we can find Jeans to fit you. Just yesterday...

It's the simple things, right? The rain on the roof (especially when the tanks empty), it's a smile or a wave from someone, It's a cuddle from the cat when you feel like it not her, a please or thank you, the giggle of a child… And nice warm feet! It's that snuggle up time of the year when the glow of a night fire and a great mulled wine or hot chocolate become added to “the simple things to enjoy". I've found another simple thing too - our Columbine merino sox and hosiery, the new merino anklets knee highs...

They want to shear with you... They have no choice but to wear merino... It's a magic fibre. Many of us can wear it, and for sure I'm a layer it on under everything girl, this season gives us a choice in awesome fashion merino for on top layers, and a couple of options brand and price-wise for under.  The merino possum is amazing too, so light, not bulky yet super comforting and warm. As it's been a week of interesting days. The weather has hit overdrive and it's feeling like winter, let's see if we can warm you up......
